BanQu Winter 2022
A team of four SIP students successfully implemented BanQu’s platform with the nonprofit Utah Valley Refugees, streamlining their processes from seven platforms into one.
BanQu wanted to understand more about their implementation process and the issues that arise during configuration. To gain insight into this, four interns worked with BanQu to implement their platform into a nonprofit organization of their choice. They joined a team of BanQu partners on the project. At the start of the semester, they went through a list of many nonprofits in Utah to find the ideal organization to work with. After reaching out to several, they received a positive response from Utah Valley Refugees.
They built strong relationships with the CEO of Utah Valley Refugees and other employees, and the project evolved into implementing BanQu platforms within this organization. By the end of three short months, they were able to “go live” so that Utah Valley Refugees could start using it to track transactions, which will add value to their organization and provide the transparency that they were looking to achieve.
