SOCIAL IMPACT PROJECTS
Social Impact Projects (SIP) is an on-campus internship program that engages students to solve social problems with locally and globally recognized social impact organizations.
Our Partners
We pair BYU students with social impact partner organizations to collaborate and solve problems.
Here are just a few of the organizations we’ve worked with over the years:
The internship lasts one semester (offered Fall, Winter, and Spring) and provides professional experience supported through academic curriculum and experienced advisors. The 3.0 credit class runs concurrently with the internship, as students learn about social impact models, skills, and best practices. Class time is also used to apply concepts with their team and get immediate feedback from instructors to drive-up the real world value that comes from this 7 hour-per-week internship. Through this internship SIP students have the opportunity to build their resumes, make connections, and serve society.

At the Ballard Center for Social Impact, we connect those who care deeply about social impact with proven theories, and models for creating substantive change. Social Impact Projects are a crucial mechanism for creating meaningful partnerships that help learners and teachers affect deeper and more sustainable efforts in decreasing human suffering and increasing human flourishing.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a business strategy that refers to the intersection of profit and providing social value. This positive way of doing business is becoming more and more used by customers, investors, employees, and CEOs alike.
